The sixth edition of SummArt Painters Campus 2009.

From the 6th to the 12th of July the International Paintings Symposium SummArt Painter�s Campus 2009 will be held for the sixth time in Chisinau. This symposium is organized by the company LEOGRAND Hotel & Convention Center and detains a considerable place in the cultural space of Moldova. With each year, the Symposium gathers momentum, the ranges of its participants and guests become larger, with more various and consistent program. For six years of �SummArt Painters� Campus�existence, the symposium became a well known event among the painters, the collectors, the experts and the judges of art. It turned into an international cultural event, fact that witnesses its high level of organization and strengthening the cultural collaboration between the countries. This year the symposium will gather 18 well-known Moldavian and international professionals. The painters will spend 7 fruitful days in the shopping center MallDova. This experience will be a wonderful opportunity to its guests from different countries of the world to share their artistic skills, to immerse themselves into the typical local environment, to touch the culture of the country. Meanwhile, the Moldavian painters will be able to understand in their conscience which is their position in the artistic space. Starting from 6th to 12th of July a studio for the participants will be installed in the hall of the Shopping Center MallDova, fact that will offer the unique possibility to all the willing persons to see and touch the works of the professionals. All the details of an art process must be in harmony: the fine art, the architectonic, the sculpture, the music. The painting and the music are eternal. Looking at the fine art masterpieces in a museum or in a good reproduction while we are listening to symphonic music, we begin unconsciously to understand the beauty. That�s why on the 7th and 10th of July a quintet will provide music to the painters throughout their working hours. In a such pleasurable atmosphere of collaboration, a very harmonious series of paintings are expected. This social-cultural project was founded by the company LEOGRAND Hotel & Convention Center in 2004. The summer symposium represents its first stage. The second stage of the project represents the development of an auction which has the aim to sell the paintings created by the participants of the symposium. All the proceeds from the auction will be directed to the support of 180 students aged between 10 and 17 years that are studying at the Republican Art Boarding School of Fine Arts Igor Vieru. During the last year�s auction, 5950 Euros were gathered which were directed to meet the needs of the students. You can follow up the painting process of the professionals from 7th to 11th of July at 10:00-13:00 and 14:30-18:30. At the end of the Symposium on Saturday, 12.07.2009, at 18:00 in the shopping center Malldova (Artium Gallery), all the works done during the symposium will be exhibited; as well a press-conference will be held with the organizers and the participants of this project.
