Leogrand Hotel & Convention Center celebrates 10 Years of Excellence in Hospitality

On 6 April 2012 in Leogrand Hotel & Convention Center took place the 5^th edition of Top Partner Dinner dedicated to 10^th Anniversary of the hotel.

The Annual Dinner has become a good tradition of gathering all the partners of the company in the semi-official atmosphere that represents a great opportunity to strengthen partnership and create new inter-organizational relations.  

The ambassadors, government officials, CEOs of corporations, famous artists, the guests and foreign invitees came to re-discover the success story of one of the most famous hotel in the Republic of Moldova in the last decade.

In addition to commercial activity, the company is evolved in various social and charity events.

The public association of children and youth with disabilities “VITA” regularly receives support from the charitable company.

This year Leogrand has committed itself to reconstruct the assembly hall from vocational school Nr.12. The event was highlighted by an exhibition of paintings and handcrafts made by children from the VITA Association.

Interesting facts:

-During 10 years we welcomed more than 83.500 guests from over 70 countries

-During 10 years there were organized over 180 weddings. The biggest was for 420 guests and the smallest for 12 persons

-During 10 years more than 350000 persons were served in banquets.

-During 10 years we accommodated such famous guests as Vladimir Spivacov, Cezara Evora, Michele Platini, Florin Piersic, Steven Seagal, Anatolii Carpov, many politicians, prime ministers, ministers.

-During 10 years we accommodated over 20 football teams, such as Holland National team, Swiss National team, Hungary National Team, team of Andora, Latvia, Israel, Turkey, San Marino, Finland, Besictas, Zurrich, Hertha Berlin, Borac, Inter Finland, Cerno More, Zilina etc

-During 10 years the longest staying guest by far remained 550 days in the hotel.

-During 10 years our guests served over 540 tones of beer and almost 30 tones of cola.

-During 10 years we cooked more the 150 tones of meat and made stew from almost 4.000 kg of beef tongue.

-During 10 years our cooks used almost 8.400 kg of salt and 17 tons of sugar to prepare the meals. They also peeled more than 150 tones of potatoes.

-During 10 years were washed over 2 million plates! This is a pile of 28 km high!  

-Over the last 10 years were cleaned more than 90.000 rooms and you can only imagine what a big job was done in order to keep everything clean and neat!

-The Technical Department during 10 years has changed 37000 bulbs!

 On 15, 16 November 2011, the project „Consolidation of forensic examination in torture and other forms of ill-treatment in Moldova,” which is funded by the European Union and is implemented by the UNDP, conducted the national conference „Managing the forensic services in Moldova.”

Within the anniversary events, the company Sudzucker Moldovaorganized in LEOGRAND Hotel & Convention Center receptionand international conference Global and Regional Sugar Markets: Opportunities and Risks. The Conference was organized with the support of the International Sugar Organization and Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Moldova.

Vladimir Filat, Prime-Minister of the Republic of Moldova who attended the welcome reception, noted the importance of investments made by the company Sudzucker Moldova in Moldova’s economy.

The concert for the guests was organized with participation of the Ukrainian sand artist Kseniya Simonova, Moldovan GroupNicorason and German Group De Phazz.
